The Self Portrait

The Environmental Self Portrait

An environmental portrait is an image that tells the viewer something about the subject, either through other elements within the image or as a psychological study. See the work of Arnold Newman, Annie Liebovitz or Mark Seliger.

You will design and shoot, and create a self portrait. The portrait may be clack and white or color. You may create it entirely with the camera and darkroom, or you may manipulate it on the computer.

The final product must be printed in large format. This is free if you do it in the darkroom, or you must pay $4 for the large print if you choose to create the portait in color or on the computer.

To Plan the portrait , copy and paste the following questions into a word document, and save this into your folder as "Self Portrait Plan".
