Step ONE- Catch up on old work

Look through the assignments posted below on this blog, and work on any of the old work you haven't finished.

Step TWO- ATPI Fall Photo Contest
Your first opportunity to enter a major photo contest is coming up quickly.

1. Explore the contest.Go to: http://atpi.org/fall.htm

• Read the rules.You may enter a photo into any category you wish, but the first two photos you shot for this class (human knot and academics) fit well into the photojournalism or possibly the portrait categories.
• Look at some past winners.Click on the "2003 Winners" link at the bottom of the page, and click on the "click here" link on the winners page to launch the photo viewer. Look through the images, noting the different categories.
• Right click on your favorite photo, save it, upload it to flickr, and post it to your blog. Post the division and category of the photo, and briefly describe why you like it. I will use these posts to decide what we will shoot next

2. Make a decision.
If you would like to enter the contest, post "I plan to enter the contest in the _________ category." You may enter as many photos as you like, but you must pay $5.00 per photo for printing, mounting, and entry costs. You keep contest prints after they are judged.
If you plan to enter photos other than what we shot in the first two shoots, you need to start shooting soon.
