Caption: Tear gas fills the air as state troopers, on order from Gov. George Wallace, break up the march. March 7, 1965, becomes know as Bloody Sunday after state troopers assault the marchers with clubs and whips. A shocked nation watches the police brutality on television and demands that Washington intervene and protect voter registration rights for blacks.

Critique:

The angle that the picture was shot at is very good. The picture was taken from behind the state troopers and their cars. The use of light hardlly has an effect because the picture is in black and white. The cars provide leading lines pointing towards the group of people getting tear gased. Also the street lines on the bridge provide leading lines. The focus seems to be on the cars and the people because the backround looks a little out of focus. This picture was shot with a very high shutter speed because all of the crowd and state troopers seem to be in focus.

Overal a "good" critique. Avoid using general words such as "good" unless you are going to specifically back them up. When you write "the picture was taken from behind the state trooper," this doesn't really explain why it is a good angle. Use angle terms we have discussed such as "dramtic angle," "framing" etc.
Also- Be specific and accurate. If you are discussing shutter speed, you should use the terms blurry or not blurry. If you are discussing focus you should use sharp or soft.
Be sure to identify the CVI and discuss what emphasizes it as such.

Had a hard time finding the photo. Next time used one of the sites on the new suggested list.
