Caption:Teresa Yung of Herkimer hugs one of her twin sons, Sgt. Benjamin Yung, outside Exec Air after he arrives on a bus with the 1019th Quartermaster Company for the homecoming ceremony.

Critique: This photo brings joy and emotion to both the viewer and photographer. To be able to take such a sentiment photo to cherish as a memory has to have some highlight. Obviously there is very little shutter speed and a large aperture but it is still a very well taken photo. The background is not as sharp as the "point picture", it is very soft and definitely out of focus. The originality and unique character of this photo is the wonderful emotion that is more than just obvious. This photo shows exactly how the person is feeling without a story or even much of the caption at all. There is no distraction in the background which brings alot to the photo, along with it's eye catching features.

The headline of this photo is specific enough by reading but understood more when the photo is viewed. The photo link does not take you directly to the photo and in somw ways the photo describes what kind of photo it is and of what. The photographer is published and there is a caption to go along with this photo. The critique is both descriptive and well written but there are a few things unanswered and with a little more time could have been better. There is information on who it is posted by (just a name though).

The link does not take you directly to the photo. You must explain exactly how to get to the photo if this is the case.

It looks like you make some good observations in the critique, but I can't compare it to the photo to be sure.

Also, if you put a phrase in like "Obviously there is very little shutter speed and a large aperture," you must describe the elements of the photo that made you think this.
